The NOLA Herb Gathering

The NOLA Herb Gathering will take place at Grow Dat Youth Farm, 150 Zachary Taylor Dr, New Orleans, LA.
As a participant please be sure to come prepared with money for food, beverage and any items you may buy from the Artisan Market or Pop Up Herbal Apothecary.  Also bring a utensils for taking notes throughout the workshops.  You may also need to provide your own chair.

Our Inspiration

Asc3nsion Art was formed by divine intention after Ellenie Cruz recieved the message to walk the path of a community healer.  Almost immediately after she had made up her mind to give up her teaching career and devote her time and energy to learning more about holistic well being, she connected the pieces of the puzzle and decided to continue her journey as a reiki practitioner and develop skills related to wellness to help others which led her to Centro Ashe.  Centro Ashe has helped her gain clarity on the variety of ways Asc3nsion Art will to serve its' community specifically through plant medicine and herbalism.  Centro Ashe consistently develops programming that honors the diversity of culture and decolonizing herbal and plant medicine.  Asc3nsion Art has a deep appreciation for Centro Ashe and the model of social justice it upholds.  To find out more about Centro Ashe and all the wonderful things they have done and are doing please visit www.centroashe.org.  Also visit the Chesapeakeherbgathering.com to get information about the annual Chesapeake Herb Gather that takes place just out side the DC area in Maryland.  Thank you again to Centro Ashe for being a model for Asc3nsion Art to host thoughtfully curated event involving plant medicine in New Orleans.
